The Splurge: Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside. Hit the slopes by day and sip cocktails by night while staying in this 121-suite luxury hotel conveniently located in the heart of Whistler Village. Get an après-ski massage at the in-house spa or revitalize tired muscles in one of the mountain-view tubs.

The Steal: Westin Grand Vancouver. Get the four-star experience without breaking the bank at this contemporary downtown hotel. Located at the edge of Yaletown, the Westin is just a stone’s throw from hip dining, shopping and nightlife.

The Splurge: Lumiere. Voted Best Restaurant by Vancouver Magazine for more than seven years, this upscale French restaurant in the Kitsilano neighborhood of Vancouver is worth the splurge. From dungeness crab to butternut squash ravioli, your taste buds will thank you.

The Steal: Incendio. This hip little Gas Town restaurant keeps locals coming back for its wood oven-baked pizza, fresh bread, and extensive wine list. A medium pizza full of fresh ingredients won’t make a dent in your pocketbook at $12.99.
