He spent his 39th birthday last year with son Levi and model girlfriend Camila Alves visiting the southern rim of the Grand Canyon for the first time, and another 14 days road tripping with a friend through Southern Baja. He seems to have a pretty good roll-with-punches attitude necessary for the unpredictable nature of a long trip on the road. What about other celebrity road trip companions? About every year someone polls the public to determine the most popular celebrity road trip buddy. Read on for results:
Drew Barrymore's at the top of everyone's list
2009: This year, Greyhound surveyed 1000 American adults and asked “which of the following celebrities would be your ideal road trip buddy?” – the results fell out in this order:
2008: Last year map company Rand McNally partnered with Harris Interactive to poll 2,030 adults about their road trip preferences and their choice for a celebrity couple to hit the road with. Survey says?
- 18% selected now defunct comedian couple Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman
- 15% selected Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt
- 5% selected Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez
- 5% selected Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes
Meanwhile, Carsguide.com.au polled 810 Aussies on their picks for the best and worst celebrity road trip partner. Survey says?
- 33% voted Lindsay Lohan as most popular road trip companion while radio host Kyle Sandilands won the dubious title of worst celebrity to be stuck with on a road trip.
2007: Two years ago Rand McNally surveyed 4,000 Americans about their first choice for a celebrity road trip buddy. The winner? Ellen DeGeneres, who beat out Oprah Winfrey, Will Ferrell and Paris Hilton.

Charlize Theron. Although I would probably crash the car.
I would go with either Geena Davis or Susan Surrandon because from what I’ve seen of their road trips they usually involve killing rednecks, schtupping Brad Pitt and getting some wicked air on a Thunderbird convertible.
Lance Armstrong. But he’s not allowed to get in the car.
Although most don’t think of him as a celebrity…I would definitely pick Rand McNally himself! Who else would you want in case you ever get lost?!
I was going to say Tyler Renaghan since he is the most amazing guy in the whole world. Hopefully the Tyler that left the comment is not my fiancée and “my Tyler” is yet to respond.

If I had to choose anyone to go on a road trip with, it would have to be a beautiful lady that goes by the name of Meredith. Even though the world doesn’t see her as a celebrity yet, she’s the only celebrity in my eyes.
I would want to go on a road trip with Ryan Reynolds. He’s too hot but i just hope i dont bang the car then!!! I love his lips!!!
