5 Quick Travel Tips from CheapOair.com
Travel Tips — By NileGuide Staff on October 19, 2009 at 9:18 amHere are some fast, quick tips for you to consider on your next overseas vacation:
- Shop Around: Check with as many vendors as possible for the best in flight deals. Make sure you look for the best rate possible when you’re looking to order airline tickets. Try travel agents or online travel sites, you’re sure to find the lowest rate available at that present time.
- Keep It Up to Date: Make sure your passport is up to date. The last thing you want to happen is watching your friends board the plane while you’re stuck at home squandering the amazing travel deals you found for yourself and friends. They will not let on you the plane with an expired passport.
- More Money, More Problems: Make sure you know how your currency translates in the country your going to. This will help you from being ripped off in any way.
- Know the Ins and Outs: Make sure you know what you’re getting into. A lot of countries overseas have different customs than your own and the last thing you want to do is offend people without knowing what you’re doing. It may hurt your experience in the country without ever knowing what happened; ignorance isn’t always bliss.
- Keep Your Friends Close and Your Personal Information Even Closer: keep your personal information like identifications cards and passports with you at all times. Often, tourists will be targeted for pick-pocketing. Make sure the items are safe and secure.
These tips should help you on your way to fun, secure vacation time even in cases of last minute travel.

Great tips – especially about keeping the passport up-to-date and safe. It’s your lifeline when you travel out of the country. I also want to add a suggestion regarding finding good accommodations. When in Europe you have choices of hotels, guesthouses and hostels. But did you know that you can also rent timeshares? This is the only way we travel now. We use http://www.redweek.com, a reputable company that we’ve been happy with for several years. Renting a timeshare is cheaper than hotels, and gives you much more room and privacy than a guesthouse or a hostel.
I realise this isn’t a very good comment but it made me smile!
