Pete Devine
About Us, Local Experts — By Alexi Ueltzen on November 10, 2009 at 4:08 pmPete learned to camp, hike, and identify birds in his native New England, but has been doing these things in Yosemite National Park for 20 years. He’s worked as a ranger, archeologist, river guide and teacher in various prettier parts of the West and the world. He conducts studies of the park’s glaciers every year, has biked with Lance Armstrong, performed a dozen outdoor weddings for Yosemite friends, and just started leading trips to Yosemite’s two sister national parks in China. A committed Yosemite naturalist, Pete’s favorite days are outdoors with friends, exploring the Sierra by ski, bike or hiking trail.
