Volkswagen Survey Finds Middle Easterners Are Outdoors-Minded

The German automaker has been trying to explain the success of its Tiguan, a small sports utility vehicle that offers the same versatility that families in the 70s and 80s. They recently completed a survey that found that many of the buyers reportedly enjoy outdoor activities like biking, hiking and taking their vehicles into the dunes.
Interestingly, the most “adventurous” to use the term of Volkswagen Middle East, appears to be Kuwaitis, with roughly a quarter of those enjoying the new activities.
While recent YouTube sensations have seen Dubai nationals take advantage of occasionally lax traffic enforcement to put other cars on two wheels and generally use their highways as asphalt playgrounds, the region has seen adventure seekers try their hand at other things.
For example, Ehlam Al Qasimi became the first woman, or person at all from the United Arab Emirates to reach the North Pole, according to Arabian Business TV. She completed the feat via skis.
