If you’re at all like me, you’re always curious as to John Travolta’s life. And, if you’re at all like me, you’re just as excited as I was to find out that he flew his own personal Boeing 707 to South Africa to offer his support to Australia’s Socceroos. You can view ESPN’s coverage of the historical event here at YouTube, wherein Travolta receives an honorary Socceroos jersey from smiling and appreciative team. As theĀ Daily Mail reports, Travolta headed down to South Africa with his pregnant wife and young daughter, and they docked at Lanseria National Airport as goodwill representatives of Australia’s very own Qantas airlines. (Qantas happens to also be a sponsor for the Socceroos, which makes the Travolta-Socceroos relationship a bit more sensible.)

Due to Travolta’s celebrity and large paychecks, affording the pastime has not been difficult for him. In fact, he even used to be a registered Qantas pilot.

Now if only Travolta could do something about that damned buzzing sound…
