New Apps Makes Sure You Never Forget Underwear Again

This might be the most exciting travel app we’ve seen in awhile.

Seriously, how often do you go away on a trip to discover you’ve left something vital behind? The memory card for your camera, your driver’s license, your socks? And even if you don’t forget the necessities, you’re trying to push down the panic that you must have left something behind, because surely things can’t run as smoothly as you hope. You’re halfway to the airport and you realize, “Crap, I forgot to turn off the stove.”

Introducing Packing Pro: the packing app for the forgetful traveler.

QuinnScape has somehow managed to create the most dynamic trip preparation app ever. It’s been featured all over the web, including Wall Street Journal’s Smart Money, and has been voted one of the best travel apps by CNN, Travel + Leisure, and National Geographic, along other great travel-planning apps like TripAssist and WorldMate.

The fully comprehensive app at $2.99 includes separate, predetermined lists for Accessories (coats, jackets, hats, etc.), Clothes (pants, shirts, dresses, etc.), and Essentials, such as documents and money.

But we think some of the coolest features are the Pre-Trip, Mid-Trip, and Post-Trip To-Do Lists. Even the Pre-Trip list is broken down into categories like Research for Trip, Buy Travel Guide, etc. The At Home section reminds you to “unplug appliances,” “turn off lights,” and “take out garbage.” We feel faint with excitement.

And of course there’s room for your own additions, particularly useful if you’re a ninja.

Have you tried Packing Pro? How did you like it? Share your thoughts!
