If owning your own house-sized mobile home isn’t doing it for you in the personalized-vehicle department, consider your options. Like for example converting your two car garage into an airplane hanger. One Pennsylvania man did it, and surprisingly it was not part of a reality show.

Just like the Johnny Cash song “Once Piece at a Time,” Dan Reeve received the small two seat plane, piece by piece, in the mail and built it in his garage. Yahoo News reports that it took over nine years and $40,000 to build the airplane and the at home project eventually took over the Pennsylvania man’s two car garage. Dan had to dig out his garage before taking the airplane out, he had a sign in front of his house declaring the day “Airplane Removal Wednesday”.

We’re not that great at math, but we’re pretty sure he could take quite a few commercial flights for the 40K he spent on his “model” plane. But where would be the fun in that?
