Plankin’ in the USA
Offbeat, Travel News — By chippernicodemus on July 22, 2011 at 10:09 amThe world-wide craze that is “planking” doesn’t make much sense, but it’s still pretty hilarious. According to Urban Dictionary, planking is:
To lay horizontally across any object or the ground with their arms by their sides, aiming to occur in daring situations or a brotherly display of core-strength.
Fire hydrants, cars, park benches, refrigerators, and cold hard asphalt are just a few of the thousands of planking spots people have come up with. The locations may be varied but one thing is for sure: the stranger the location, the better the plank. This makes tourist landmarks prime targets for “planksters” and the inspiration for today’s post.
Happy Friday Travel Plankers!

Pretty soon people will be plank-mobbing public places. I can’t wait.
