The Roland Fountain, located in the Main Square of Bratislava, Slovakia, is the city’s most well known landmark. Originally constructed in 1572 by orders of the King of Royal Hungary, Maximilian 11, the fountain supplied fellow citizens with public water and showcased a full-figured statue of Maximilian II himself. It has since been rebuilt several times, however, Bratislava’s favorite meeting point remains a beautiful Slovakian sight to see.
