Yellowstone is a much-loved US national park, mostly located in Wyoming, though parts of it also sprawl into Montana and Idaho. Full of incredible wildlife, geothermal springs, and massive mountains, the park extends almost 3,500 square miles. It also contains the largest supervolcano on the continent.
Though winters may be tough in Yellowstone, this picture portrays a gorgeous summer sunset over the water. The connection of clouds to mountains to the lake below expresses a magical quality found only in parks and open spaces. The importance of protecting these parks is clear, as the eco-life and wildlife are inextricably connected to the beauty we are lucky enough to witness.
