In the southern French city of Montpellier, many of the hotels have medieval roots, with updates being made during the 16th and 18th centuries. Beyond the hotels, the city itself is full of rich European history, from housing one of the oldest universities in the world, University of Montpellier, to the center square Place de la Comédie.
Besides the magnificent architecture, the city also provides rich culture through events including the Festival de Radio France et Montpellier, which showcases classical music and jazz.
