Even if you are not staying at the Emirates Palace, there are may areas and events open to the public such as afternoon tea and Friday morning brunch buffet. At least walk in the lobby and admire the gold plated ceilings. Who knows who you will rub elbows with there!
Description:
During a visit to the Emirates Palace in January 2008, fellow guests included President George W. Bush and U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, which, if the palatial surroundings don't give it away, tells you this isn't your average hotel. The size of the hotel can be intimidating to some (it's easy to get lost here), but everywhere you turn there's someone to point you in the right direction. Upon check-in, a butler arrives at your room to explain everything from the complimentary minibar and Internet service to the in-room entertainment and lighting systems (trust me, you need the tutorial). Rooms are swathed in buttery wood and heavy brocaded duvets, and all have balconies that offer various views, including the 1.3km ( 3/4-mile) hotel beach, outfitted with imported Algerian sand.
The hotel, with its 114 mosaic tile-covered domes, Swarovski crystal chandeliers, and gold-plated lobby is gorgeous, and the Anantara Spa is just as impressive. The decor is influenced by Morocco, with arched walkways and bright mosaic-tile work. The crown jewel of the spa is its signature Gateway to Arabia treatment, which includes a traditional Moroccan hammam.
The hotel is within close proximity to Marina Mall and the Heritage Village.
