  • Since Acapulco offers such a pleasant climate year-round, of course tours of its outdoor activities are not to be missed. Located in the southwest portion of Mexico, Acapulco is comfortable throughout the year. Bad weather rarely affects outdoor activities. Although there's plenty of tours to choose from, there are some that are uniquely Acapulco. It's likely that you've never been on a shotover tour. A shotover jet tour is similar to how it sounds; it shoots riders across the water swiftly in a speed boat. It's a thrilling ride that a water park ride can't quite provide. The boat is a rush of adrenaline, skimming over the ocean waters, spraying visitors with water while it takes 360-degree turns. Conversely, Acapulco offers deep-sea fishing for visitors seeking a more low-key tour experience where they don't have to worry about getting too wet. Acapulco features some of the best fishing waters in the world and guests can enjoy taking half-day or full-day fishing excursions. Another full-day water activity that is popular among guests are the Laguna tours. These are typically full-day jaunts that take guests to some of the Acapulco lagoons for a full-day of relaxation, recreation and entertainment. These offer the best of the water tours, as they can include fishing, swimming and boating; all in one tour package. These are often some of the best photo taking opportunities, as the laguna tours offer the best chance to see Acapulco's diverse plant and fauna life that can't be experienced elsewhere on the island. Acapulco features many land tours, but the water activities are certainly the highlight. Guests can check with their hotel concierge to find out about special packages and tours that are available through their hotel.
