Kid Friendly Attractions in Acapulco

Acapulco might be better known for Spring Break or its Jet Set heyday but the truth of the matter is that this resort city on Mexico's Pacific Coast is a family-friendly vacation destination. Here's the Top Ten Kid Friendly Things to Do in Acapulco.

The first four attractions are designed specifically with children in mind. #1, Cici Acapulco Mágico, is a water park complete with sildes, wave pools, and marine animal shows. It's a great choice for families staying in Golden Zone Hotels.

#2 on the list, Magico Mundo Marino, is also a marine park but it boasts a scenic location on a rocky island reached by crossing a footbridge form #5, Playas Caleta y Caletilla. Cautious parents will appreciate these safe beaches, sheltered in a small bay in the Tradtional Zone. The waves are gentle and the water is shallow.

Parque Papagayo, #3 on of Acapulco's Kid Friendly attractions, is a large park located on the main avenue, La Costera. Kids can drive cars, or pilot boats, splash in wading pools, or climb onto a reproduction of a Manila Nao, the clipper ship that once plied the waters between Mexico and the Philippines.

If your kids are the adventurous sorts, take them for a ride on the Shotover Jet, #7. These jet boats speed up the scenic Papagayo River outside town and it's a thrill a minute that will leave you soaked and smiling.

The entire family will enjoy the famous La Quebrada Cliff Diving show, the #10 choice.
