  • NileGuide Expert Says:

This is “Traditional Acapulco” at its finest, now tailored for modern-day dreamers thanks to recent refurbishment by Mexico’s leading design hoteliers Grupo Habitat.

  • NileGuide Expert tip:

A rare privilege is being able to plunge into the gentle sapphire waves from its mini pier, and bob along the petroglyphs.

    Description:

    • Mexico's Grupo Habita has another hit on its hands – Hotel Boca Chica redefines hip, sophisticated lodging in Acapulco while reviving interest in busy but rundown Playa Caletilla. Designers Frida Escobedo and Jose Rojas, and antique curator Claudia Fernandez took a crumbling but cool 1950s-era structure, preserved its best vintage features and updated the rest to create an urban, tropical oasis. Minimalist white-toned guest rooms, which feature Dr. Bronner bath amenities, look out onto the beach and marina, or across the channel to Isla de la Roqueta. Executive Chef Keisuke Harada creates unique Asian-Mexican cuisine at a surprisingly laid-back, outdoor restaurant; room service and 24-hour sushi take-out is also available. The hotel's spa, Boca Chica Baths, is located on the dramatic lower level where waves crash onto the seawall. Spa treatments including the Focused Attention, which features hot towels soaked in black pepper, mandarin and ginger infused oils.

    • Amazing minimalist hotel in Acapulco beach! Service is perfect, the view is unforgetable and you can't miss the spa! We went there (my girlfriend and I) for the spring break weekend...

      Unspeakably bad service....again.

    • The restaurant at Boca Chica Hotel has been popular with both locals and tourists for decades, serving good food with infamously slow, but friendly service. The hotel was sold and beautifully...

Unexpected, a true taste of vintage Acapulco.

    • The Hotel itself is very old, but fully renovated. It is small, with only one restaurant, a bar and a very small night club. It has just about 30 rooms. It is kept very clean...
