Hotel Las Hamacas - Acapulco
  • Type: Kid Friendly
    • User Rating
  • NileGuide Expert Says:

Las Hamacas probably offers the best value for money on the bay and rates highly for authenticity. Real Acapulco is going on around you, and you can enjoy watching fishermen pulling in boats and nets at dawn and dusk on the beach opposite.

  • NileGuide Expert tip:

This hotel is walking distance to a couple of mega-supermarkets, so you can stock up on food and goodies, such as beach balls, extra towels and sandals.

    Description:

    • A venerable place that now caters largely to Mexican tourists, Las Hamacas can be quiet and you may well get the pool to yourself. Food is not great, at all, but opposite on the little pier healthy meals - from breakfast to dinner, and great juices - can be found at 100% Natural. You are also on the edge of the old town so well placed to check out some of the cultural attractions, such as the Fort and the Zócalo. Buses rumble past continuously so you can be very mobile, and taxis are cheaper around here as no one expects to make a picking from "rich" gringos in this part of town. Rooms are fine, but look a little odd and old-fashioned.
