Dress to kill for a poolside afternoon and evening, wear designer sunglasses, tone up your body and get a tan before baring your flesh here. Just because you are wearing sunblock, girls, doesn't mean you should give the makeup a break.

Description:

• This hotel boasts the world's first ever swim-up bar, and Acapulco's first topless pool. It has hosted Sean Connery, Michael Jackson, Engelbert Humperdinck and Gloria Gaynor, among many other notables and sports a little "museum" (a few large plaques with good photos and rotten English) to the stars on its grassy banks. It is a tricky distance from the sea, and you might feel a little frustrated when paying through the nose for a bottle of water and a little snack. But it is a still a winner, especially for the pool by day with its glorious view of the sea, yet safe distance from the noise and mayhem. Rooms are quirky, spacious with great comfy beds, some have enormous jacuzzis but they may not work (once I got rust-colored water). There is a separate pool area for those with children, but on the whole this is a place for vanity and lust, not families.
