A glass cube is Baikal's only roadside presence but from there you descend a curving staircase to a multi-level, open space.
  
  Baikal's chef designs glorious dishes that blend French, Asian and Mexican flavors, and "play with the palate," as he says. The menu (available in English) is varied – ranging from oysters Rockefeller to steak Chateaubriand and New Zealand rack of lamb. Try the lobster in ginger-hibiscus flower sauce or the seafood salad of lobster, shrimp, calamari, scallops, and octopus. Despite its understated elegance, Baikal has one over-the-top touch: screens descend periodically from the ceiling and a campy video of Acapulco's heyday is shown, accompanied by Frank Sinatra.
