NileGuide Expert Says:
A great way to spend the day with children, as by eating a healthy and tasty snack here from the starter menu, you can enjoy all the facilities.
NileGuide Expert tip:
No one knows this restaurant by the name Bambuco, but as "the restaurant inside the Hotel Elcano." Tell a taxi driver just to take you to Elcano.
Description:
- The atmosphere in this terrace restaurant -- famous for its Sunday lunchtime paella -- is unbeatable, with courteous service, very good food, quality tablecloths, and yet also allowances made for children running back and forth between the pool to your table. Worth making a day of it, as one of the few places which is both elegant and relaxing (no loud music!) Your children will have fun in the pool and are at a comfortable distance (so they do not bother you or other diners), but still close enough for you to watch them. The location just on the edge of Condesa beach means you are shielded from peddlars, but can still look at the waves, and take a dip in the ocean as well. During the day on the open terrace you can wear a bikini covered with a sarong or summer dress, or, for men, swimming shorts with a nice cotton shirt, and sandals. However, if you are dining under the roof, you will want to be more formally dressed. To get here, arrive at the Hotel Elcano and walk straight through the beautiful retro lobby towards the sea. The restaurant is down the steps to the right.

Excellent food; service iffy.

This is a hotel restaurant; and thus expect steep prices. The menu is Spanish based: they are known for the paella. If you order off of the menu (not the buffet) you are guaranteed...
