• Tear yourself away from the golden sands that line Acapulco Bay for a daytrip spent boating, wakeboarding, and waterskiing at Club de Ski Tres Marias. It is located four miles north of Acapulco on Laguna de Coyuca, which might seem familiar: The African Queen, Rambo II, and the original Tarzan films were made here.
  
  The pristine 18 square mile square lagoon is a natural sanctuary. Here, you can water-ski on the lagoon's smooth waters or take a leisurely boat cruise to spot some of the area's 250 bird species. The club offers 1½ hour-long boat tours to Isla Pajaros and Isla Montocas (MX$1,050/US$105 for up to 8 people); waterskiing and wakeboarding from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm (MX$700/US$70 per hour per person including equipment. 15 minute lessons for MX$70/US$7). Jet Skis are also available for rental (MX$800/US$80 for two people for one hour).
