Address:

Costera Miguel Aleman
Acapulco, Mexico

Neighborhood:

Golden Zone

Strenuousness:

Moderate

Description:

Basking in the sun at Acapulco's Playa Condesa can get a bit warm. One fun way to cool off is by hopping on a jet ski and skimming across the sparkling waters of Santa Lucia Bay. Rent one from the guys who hang out on this popular stretch of beach between Betos restaurant and the Fiesta Americana Hotel (MX$400/US$40, ½ hour, 2 people). Or, you could leave the driving to the experts by climbing onto a "banana" boat (MX$80/US$8 per person, 15 minutes). Up to seven people can sit one behind the other with their legs wrapped around a banana-shaped float to enjoy a brisk ride splashing over the waves. For a bird's eye view of the sights treat yourself to a high-flying trip on a parasail (MX$350/US$35 pesos, 1 flight, 7 minutes). Cash only. If you're still in the mood for thrills, try the bungee jump at Paradise bar.
