Longtime Acapulco scuba operator Swiss Divers Association offers novice divers and snorkelers the chance to gain experience in pool sessions or the shallow waters of Playa Caletilla and Isla Roqueta. More experienced divers visiting Mexico can choose from boat, wreck, and nitrox dives in deep Acapulco Bay or in the Pacific Ocean. Visibility varies daily but is usually from between 15 and 45 feet and sea life like octopus, turtles, stingrays, and dolphins are regularly spotted.

Boats sail in the morning and afternoon; one interesting dive visits the submerged bronze statue of the Virgin of the Seas in Boca Chica channel. The friendly staff takes your safety seriously and also speaks English, Spanish, and German. The company also rents, sells, and repairs diving equipment, and makes souvenir photos and videos of your dive. Swiss Divers Association offers free transportation to and from hotels, including Las Brisas and Casa Condesa.

This yacht has a capacity of approximately 250 people, and tours all of Acapulco Bay daily. The trip is two and a half hours long, and you'll have the opportunity to watch the sun set while relaxing in the middle of the ocean. During the tour, sights include the homes of famous national and international showbiz and political celebrities. One of the most memorable moments is watching the divers of La Quebrada plunge into the sea. The Yate Fiesta offers snack-bar service.

The tour company has its operation base in Marina Pirata, inside the Parador del Sol hotel. After the tour, many choose to spend the rest of the day there, enjoying the many sports and recreation facilities. The cost includes transportation, as the lagoon is located a short distance from Acapulco.

Paradise is a loud, popular, and relaxed open-air club located on Acapulco's Condesa Beach. During Spring Break, young partiers flock to Paradise at night – and its neighbors Barbaroja, Baby Lobster, and Disco Beach – when U.S. college students mingle with their Mexican counterparts. The décor changes among the clubs but the ambience remains the same: young women in skimpy dresses and flip flops and guys in t-shirts and board shorts crowd the dance floor, cocktails in hand. The cover charge may seem high but it usually includes an open bar. What Paradise offers that none of the others do is bungee jumping. A tall crane stands next to the bar and a trail of probably drunk guys and girls climb to the top ready for a thrill-inducing drop straight down to the swimming pool. The restaurant serves decent seafood, too. Paradise is just a few steps from the Fiesta Americana Hotel. Admission: varies but usually USD $ 15-20, drinks included

La Granja offers a great variety of dishes which are typical of the coast and are served by a staff that is warm and friendly. As you enter La Granja, you will find yourself under a great sized thatched roof, to one side they have a playground and in the back there is a small lake where games are organised such as boat races, or a contest to see who can cross the lake by hanging on a rope. It also has a mini zoo where the lion, the racoon, the rabbits and monkeys are always an attraction.

As its name suggests, the specialty of this restaurant is chicken cooked Sonoran style (a Northern Mexican state close to the US border). Thus the Charcoal grilled Chicken is accompanied by roasted onions and hand made tortillas, all garnished in a delicious Mexican sauce. Other recommended dishes are the chilorio (a Northern meat and chili dish) and quesadillas (folded maize tortillas filled with either meat, cheese or mushrooms inside.) Try one of the original root beers also from Sonora. The facilities are fairly simple, but include a parking lot, play area for children, and an ocean landscape that is quite beautiful to gaze out on. Service is quick and friendly, and includes a special booth for take away orders.

This restaurant is especially attractive for its high arches and cast iron, replicating the type of small plaza traditionally found in Mexican country haciendas (big estate houses favored by the landed gentry.) As one might expect, the food is similarly inspired. Everything from simple tacos de albañil (crunchy pork cracklings garnished with avocado, onion, tomato, coriander and chili peppers) to the delicious tampiqueña meat dish (a tender cut of beef fried or roasted,) accompanied by enchiladas (maize tortilla filled with chicken and garnished with a mole chili and chocolate spice sauce,) beans and totopos (fried maize tortillas,) and an oil fried golden taco are on the menu. Aside from evening meals, breakfast is also served.

This exciting boat ride takes you along the Puerto Marquez Lagoon. These boats travel at a speed of over 50Kilomters per hour and gives you a feeling of flying. You ride at high speed making 360 degree turns and skimming over the water in these powerful jet boats. Aothough fun for the whole family this is not recommended for small children.

Located to the East of Acapulco Bay, and very close to the airport, this is a fresh water lagoon of extraordinary natural beauty, which also houses a great variety of wild fauna. Jet-skis are available for rental and many visitors visit the canals that have been formed with marine vegetation. Among these canals, birds care for their young in nests. There are also a few restaurants here, and all of them have access to the lagoon and rent jet-skis and boats. Try Los Pavorreales!

If there is something for which Acapulco is known, it's the traditional green pozole, a mixture of chicken broth, corn, pork rinds, fresh cheese and onion, accompanied by delicious snacks like tacos, fried and filled with potatoes, avocado and tostadas. You will find these delicacies in the Mansión Bohemia, a restaurant property of Alicia Marino, a singer from Acapulco who entertains lunchtime visitors with beautiful songs from the state of Guerrero. There is also a trio who will be happy to play any song you request. All of this fun and flavor is on a terrace with a swimming pool and tropical atmosphere.
