• Since the mid-1960s, from a position in the heart of town, immediately across from the railway station and the post office, this cozy brasserie has served bountiful, cost-conscious meals to office workers, day laborers, and commuters. The interior is outfitted in tones of dark bordeaux and dark hardwood paneling, waiters are attentive and hardworking, and food is doled out in generous portions. Long-standing specialties include choucroute, slabs of buttery foie gras, cheese-laden fondues Savoyardes, frogs' legs in garlic butter, pepper steaks with french fries, and sautéed crayfish.
