Off the Beaten Path Nightlife in Albuquerque

  • The Best of NileGuide
  • The nightlife in Albuquerque will never leave you unsatisfied. In the Nob Hill/University area you will find points of interest ranging from trendy college hangouts to hip local spots. Stop by RB Winning Coffee for a coffee, relax in the cozy seating areas, browse the free wireless internet, and order low-priced food. You can sit back with the college kids and get a taste of the local art scene; dance shows, poetry slams, and theatrical improv are performed regularly. For a truly unique club experience head over to Caravan East. While the country music plays, the club’s informal atmosphere does not stop people from getting up to shake their groove thang. The quaint surroundings provide a traditional backdrop for some of the best country music you will ever hear live. In addition, you must plan a trip to Monte Vista Fire station. Monte Vista Fire Station was built as you guessed it, a real firehouse! The space was designated a historic route 66 establishment in 1935 and has been transformed into a dining powerhouse.

For the traveler with the performing arts in mind you should make time for the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra in Midtown. With their huge repertoire and devoted commitment to the community they are sure to delight the whole family. In addition, the New Mexico Jazz Workshop’s performances will delight your senses after a long day exploring the city. Every summer they put on their weekend show “Concert under the Stars” located at the Albuquerque Museum Amphitheater. Buy your tickets early, because you do not want to miss the opportunity to hear some excellent Salsa, Jazz, and Blues.
