Description:

  • Built around 1760, this is one of the oldest inns in Lewes, a 30-minute ride from Gatwick and 60 minutes from London. Located opposite the town's war memorial, it stands at a traffic circle on the main street. The hotel is considerably refurbished, though still a bit creaky. Pub lunches and dinner are served daily in a Victorian conservatory.
