Description:
Built in 1973 on a spit of landfill jutting into the Mediterranean, this massive beachfront hotel almost dwarfs every other establishment in town. Midsize guest rooms are painted in sunny colors and have balconies, usually with sweeping panoramas of sailboats in the nearby marina or over the beach. The public rooms are contemporary, with lots of marble. The hotel is midway between the main harbor and the very popular El Postiguet beach. Its most spectacular feature is its first-class restaurant on the 26th floor, opening onto one of Alicante's most panoramic views of the sea and the cityscape.
