Grey Area

Description:

• The Grey Area is one of the best-known coffeeshops in Amsterdam for three reasons: 1. It sells some of the highest-quality cannabis in the city, 2. It is the smallest coffeeshop in the city (get here as early as possible if you want one of the few available seats), and 3. It is the "American" coffeeshop. The place was opened by two American gentleman (one of which has moved on and been replaced by a Brit) and is a gathering place for American tourists in the city, who appreciate that the clock on the walls shows it is always 4:20. It is also the only coffeeshop in the city that will sell its cannabis in "eighths," for those of you who prefer English to Metric. Glass bongs and a volcano vaporizer are available to visitors to the shop.
