  • Given the reputation for British food, it's surprising just how many places there are in Amsterdam which focus on the traditionally British kitchen. They more or less fall into three categories, breakfast, afternoon tea, and pub food. But in general they offer a filling, value for money and reasonably healthy option. And the locations are spread around the city, so wherever you are, if you fancy a Sunday lunch or a civilised high tea, there's bound to be somewhere close by. And if you've been enjoying Amsterdam's party scene until the early hours, there's nothing better than an English fry up!
