Description:

The doors of Amsterdam City Fields B&B reopen in August 2011. With new ensuite bathrooms, luxurious antique beds and furniture, and blackout curtains, the newly built B&B has everything you expect in terms of luxury. It offers charm, with oak floors, beamed ceilings and wonderful views across a large garden towards North Amsterdam.

At the same time, solar panels and heating and a host of other enironmental measures make this the greenest place to stay in Amsterdam. The building itself is a charming traditional converted barn which has been built using the latest eco friendly techniques, such as wall insulation made from natural materials (flax), meaning that the whole building can 'breathe'.

In 2010, the street where the B&B is located was voted by Amsterdam's Parool newspaper, as being the 2nd most beautiful undiscovered street in Amsterdam. Just 15 minutes by bike or public transport to Amsterdam's most central point, Amsterdam Central Station, you wouldn't imagine that such a peaceful location could exist in Amsterdam.

The location is ideal for those who want to combine sight seeing and the atmosphere of Amsterdam, with true relaxation. Some of Amsterdam's best restaurant's are located close by. As the garden borders a river, it's not suitable for small children.

For the friendly owner, no request is too much, and being a true foody and travel writer about Amsterdam you'll be sure to get the best restaurant and itinery tips.

Website will be available from August 2011. For advanced reservations contact scottroane@yahoo.com.
