Description:

  • The Burmanstraat is a residential street, which ends up at the river Amstel. Here you will find a choice of houseboats and, on the other side, the old town hall 'Overamstel'. The subway will take you to the heart of the city in 5 minutes. You can easily walk to important attractions like Carré with the 'Magere Brug', and De Pijp with its Albert Cuyp. A (rented) bike obviously is the ideal means of transport in Amsterdam. Yet you don't have to leave our neighbourhood, Weesperzijdestrook, if you are looking for a nice outdoor café, pub or restaurant where you can take breakfast, eat lunch, dine or have a drink. From the famous journalist pub 'Hesp', to the lovely lunch address 'Aan de Amstel' . From the 'golden' outdoor café of 'De Ijsbreker' to the good kitchen of 'Van de markt' . From the two star 'La Rive' in the Amstelhotel to the Spanish/Portuguese tapas of the 'Pommetje' : on the Weesperzijde you will find them all.
