Description:
Housed in a narrow 17th-century canal house a 5-minute walk from the Dam, this cozy little hotel has been under the same management for two generations. Robert de Vries, the proprietor, is extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms are small but tastefully furnished and have beamed ceilings. There's no elevator, so you have to climb four stories if you get a room on the top. Breakfast is served in a cozy space.
