The Aran bar is located in 70s building which lacks atmosphere. The interior also lacks the warmth and charm you normally find in an Irish bar. On the positive side, it's very centrally located close to the Leidseplein and it has an excellent and large terrace overlooking the picturesque Vondelpark on the other side of the road. Sunday nights play host to live music and major sports events are shown on one of a number of large screens. It is reasonably popular throughout the year, mostly with visitors from the many hotels in the neighbourhood. Prices are slightly above average.
