- De Herengracht is a beautiful restaurant by the canal, pleasing to the senses in every way, the view, food, drinks and the excellent service just add to the experience. The menu changes after every two months and is pretty reasonable. The decor is modern and stylish with a carpeted wall and multi colored stripes. If you want to have a private meal you can choose to sit in the basement lounge.

Very busy little place, seemed to be mostly Amsterdam business people and young hip things. Smoking allowed in downstairs bar which surprisingly did not permeate to rest of restaurant....
