NileGuide Expert Says:
If you really want to splash out then this is the perfect combination of a stunning historical setting with the most perfect high tea available and great service. But it comes at a price.
- The Sunday high tea in the 'Kras', as it's know affectionately by locals, is one of the best, if not, the best in town. The NH Hotel Krasnapolsky is located in the centre of town, on the Dam Square opposite the royal palace. It is one of Amsterdam's best known 5 star hotels and the Wintertuin is in itself worth a visit, simply for its grandeur.
Between 14:00 and 16:00 you can indulge in a gigantic buffet with everything from waffles and scones to poached salmon with roe. If that doesn't make you smile, the bubbles included in the price and expertly made coffee will. The stunning surroundings come with a pretty impressive price tag, but it's worth it. If you want to impress someone, this is the place to do it, and will leave a lasting memory of your trip to Amsterdam. Price in 2011 is Euro 45.50.
Book in advance if you want to guarantee your place as it is popular with locals and visitors alike.
