Jazzcafé Alto

Description:

• Near Amsterdam's second important amusement area, the Leidseplein, this small jazz pub has a short bar and just a few tables and chairs. Alto is always crammed with jazz lovers of all sexes and age groups with a relatively high and fast consumption of beer. Mostly it is rather dark, probably in order to improve the concentration of the listeners. Generally this has little effect as there are always animated conversations going on.
