With these pedal-powered boats, which are extremely stable, you can choose  your own route through the city. They don't go very fast so book an extra hour and take it easy rather than rushing back. The hire point is located on a busy canal, so  it's adviseable to head inwards to the next canal ring as soon as possible. You'll also be able to access some canals which don't have a road at all, so you truly get to see the hidden corners of Amsterdam, with a peak into the houses and gardens of the locals. Some of them are spectacular. The boats are suitable for 2-4 people at a time. A truly relaxing way to see the city.
