Description:

Sauna Deco is located in the heart of Amsterdam on one of the historical canals, the Herengracht, close to the central station. The sauna is known for its unique design, which was reclaimed from the 'u bon Marché', a department store in Paris in the 1920s. Traditional stained-glass windows create a charming vista around the central sitting area and plunge bath. The beautiful centre-piece of the lounge is an ornamental chandelier that illuminates its surroundings. Although relatively small, with only a tiny outside courtyard area which is predominantly used as a smoking area, it does have most facilities, such as: saunas; Turkish steam bath; foot baths; plunge bath; and relaxing beds within the lounge.

They also have all of the typical services on offer, such as massage and sun tanning.

A word of warning for visitors from countries where bathing suits are worn in the sauna. This is not the case for the majority of saunas in the Netherlands, where bathing suits are actually not allowed. Art Sauna Deco is no exception. Strategic positioning of an extra towel is however allowed!
