Description:
- The current home of the Netherland's national opera and ballet companies was opened in 1986 in a complex also housing the City Hall. Because the Dutch word for city hall is "Stadhuis", the building complex together is often called the "Stopera". The building is ideally located in the center of the city, overlooking a beautiful bend in the Amstel River. See the website for the performance agenda.
