Yellow Bike Tours

Yellow Bike Tours - Amsterdam

  • Description:

    • Yellow Bike offers three different tours, two in the city which last two and three hours and one of the countryside just north of Amsterdam which takes around 4 hours.

      The City Tour
With the bicycle you can reach places which remain inaccessible to others. Yellow Bike has put together a safely guided bicycle tour which will give you a fascinating picture of this famous canal city's rich history. During this tour you will pass all the interesting spots such as the harbour, the charming Jordaan quarter, the Anne Frank house, the Rijksmuseum, the Vondel Park, the "Skinny Bridge", Rembrandt's house and the Red Light District. You will also see undiscovered Amsterdam with its idyllic small canals, quiet hidden courtyards and photogenic views. Experienced guides will show you the way and tell the fascinating story of the history and evolution of Amsterdam over the years.

      The Countryside Tour
This 35 kilometre ride through the spectacular Waterland district north of Amsterdam may sound like a long way, but don't forget that Amsterdam is completely flat, so even for those who aren't so sporty this should be manageable. The Waterland tour will take you almost exclusively by scenic paths across a nature reserve. Through centuries old picturesque villages, past countless brooks and waterways and straight through green pastures. You will be accompanied by a knowledgable and expierienced guide who will provide extensive information on the history and folklore of this district with its dikes and land reclaimed from the sea which is so characteristic of Holland.
