Description:

  • In the summer months, tourists pour into this nearby village to step into another century and learn about Dutch traditions such as clog and cheese making and running a windmill.  See folks in traditional clothing, as well as the country's first Albert Heijn (now the country's biggest grocery chain).

Just a short train ride from Amsterdam, with trains departing multiple times each hour, it's a great way to spend a day outside the busy city center.
