i have to get to ijmuden to the cruise ship from amsterdam (flower market) what is the easist way i would like to with a ferry

Yes, there is a ferry from Amsterdam to IJmuiden. It's called the Fast Flying Ferry and it takes about 25 minutes. You can get the ferry from De Ruyterkade - just behind Amsterdam Centraal station, at pier 14. To get to Centraal Station from the flower market (Bloemenmarkt) you can get various trams - depending on which end of the market you are starting from.

It's far more attractive than the alternative, which would be to get a train (or metro) to Sloterdijk and then take the bus Regioliner 82 to IJmuiden -that would take about an hour all up and would not be much cheaper.
