Description:

  • About 70 feet below the surface off the Fresh Creek on Andros lies this 56-foot, WWII-era amphibious landing craft, sunk intentionally in 1963 to create an artificial reef. The plan worked extremely well for local aquatic life. The wreck teems with silverfish, shrimp, rockfish, grouper and other animals. Divers also love to come here to observe the incredible coral formations that have enveloped the sunken vessel.
