Getting There -- Fly BVI (tel. 284/495-1747; www.fly-bvi.com) operates a private charter/sightseeing service between Anegada and Beef Island off Tortola. The one-way cost is $375 for two to three passengers.
You can also take a day excursion to Anegada by charter boat from Tortola. Smith's Ferry (tel. 340/775-7292; www.smithsferry.com) goes from Road Town, Tortola, to Anegada twice a day on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. It costs $107 round-trip (from St. Thomas to Tortola to Anegada and back) or $65 one-way (from one location to the other).
Dive BVI (tel. 284/495-5513; www.divebvi.com) travels from Virgin Gorda to Anegada on Tuesdays and Fridays for $80 one-way.
Getting Around -- Limited taxi service is available on the island -- not that you'll have many places to go. Tony's Taxis (tel. 284/495-8027), which you'll easily spot when you arrive, will take you around the island for $35 for one to three people. It's also possible to rent bicycles at Little Bit Cash and Carry (tel. 284/495-9932) at Sutton Point across from Anegada Reef.
Fast Facts -- Anegada has a small fire department and a little library, but it has no banks, ATMs, or drugstores. Make adequate arrangements for supplies before coming here.
