This 19th-century grand hotel stands in the center of the old town on extensive grounds. Rooms are generally spacious, with high ceilings and French Provincial furnishings; each comes with a fair-size bathroom. Beds are comfortably firm. A formal restaurant offers excellent food and polite service; specialties include foie gras, sole meunière, and trout with almonds. Lunch is served Monday through Friday; dinner is offered nightly.
