Jabberwock Beach

Description:

  • Jabberwock Beach in the Hodges Bay area has gone through many a hurricane but it has managed with the help of concerned parties, to restore itself. A long stretch of white sand which sometimes accumulates seaweed, this is probably one of the more popular beaches for early morning dips. Through the assistance of Cable and Wireless and the Ministry of Tourism, Jabberwock has been revitalized with newly planted palms and the placement of picnic tables and rubbish bins. On weekdays it is virtually empty, but on Saturdays and Sundays the shores may be dotted with windsurfers and if the waves are right, body surfers.
