Description:
Budget travelers will find this hostel in the peaceful Chinchorro neighborhood north of downtown very convenient, as it's close to the bus terminals and just a short walk from the beach. The hotel is an excellent value; simple rooms are good-size doubles or triples (one's a quadruple), with spotless bathrooms and all but one of the rooms on the airy second story. There is also a dormitory with seven single beds and a shared bathroom. Breakfast is copious, and Sunny Days is a great place to meet other travelers. The Chilean-New Zealander couple who own the place, Beatriz Carrasco and Ross Moorhouse, are very friendly and a great source of up-to-the-minute information. Reserve ahead, particularly during Chilean school holidays.
