Trader's Village Flea Market

• If a couple thousand families and novelty shops got together to hold the world's largest garage sale, it might look like Trader's Village Flea Market. More than 1,800 booths sprawl over 106 acres, selling everything: antiques, pottery, dolls, comic books, collectibles of all types, crafts, jewelry and, of course, a little assorted junk. Some booths do accept credit cards, but it is wise to have cash on hand; an ATM is also available. In addition to the shopping, there are rides and arcade games for children. Many weekends feature some kind of special event, such as a chili cookout, a boxing tournament or a tractor show. Call the park or check out the Web site for the annual calendar of events.
