This trip will give you a chance to experience some of DC?s best restaurants and bars, as well some of the cultural landmarks that make DC famous. The trip is concentrated primarily in the DuPont Circle and Chinatown areas, so any hotel in these areas will really do. This trip is also intended to be mostly conducted primarily on foot and via the metro. Many of these restaurants are popular, so if possible, make reservations for places such as Georgia Brown?s or Oyamel. Enjoy!

Day 1 - Washington DC, Arlington
Welcome to DC. Once you arrive in DC on Friday afternoon, head to your hotel in DuPont Circle. Once you are settled, head to Chef Geoff’s for happy hour. Get a super mug (32 oz. of premium beer) and relax like you just got done with a long day of opening mail for a Senator. Have a $5 burger while you are at it. Relax and if you are feeling like going out, head to Georgetown. For an easy night, head to Mr. Smiths and sing along with the locals.

After breakfast head down to the National Mall. See some of DC’s best, including the Jefferson, the Lincoln, and the FDR memorials. Also be sure to stop into the Air and Space Museum. Once you have tired yourself out, head to Jaleo or Oyamel in Chinatown (again, take the red line from the Dupont Metro stop). After dinner, if you feel like Motown, head back to Dupont and go to the New Vegas Lounge. Or alternatively, head to Adams Morgan, a 4 block strip just north of Dupont that has every type of bar or club a college kid could want.

On Sunday, get up and treat yourself to an over-the-top Southern Brunch at either B Smith’s or Georgia Brown’s. After brunch, make your way down to Chinatown, and catch a Wizards, Mytics, or Capitals game. If there is no game, head to the International Spy Museum, or the Portrait Gallery. Finally, relax at the end of the day at Matchbox, a brick oven pizza restaurant.
