La Dolce Vita has long been among the most acclaimed Italian restaurants in Aruba. The creative menu includes most of the usual favorites and a few unusual dishes. Start with aromatic stracciatella, an Italian version of egg-drop soup enhanced with diced vegetables and served over fettuccini. Pasta dishes include rigatoni in a piquant arrabiata sauce and linguine Calabrese seasoned with olive oil, anchovies, black olives, and walnuts. Main courses include chicken baked with spinach and ricotta and mozzarella cheeses, and the catch of the day simmered in marinara sauce with clams and mussels. A veal dish is topped with eggplant and mozzarella and smothered in marinara sauce.
